Business Support – Post February 16th
At this stage we do not have any information from Central Government regarding support for businesses post mid-February. As soon as we have information to share, it will be published on our website and in our weekly e-newsletter.
Local Restriction Support Grant (LRSG) (closed) Addendum
This grant is to support businesses who are on the ratings list who have been forced to close during the national lockdown in November and the current lockdown. Businesses that have already applied to this grant are not required to apply again, if you feel that you are eligible, have read the original policy here and have not been in receipt of a grant please email grants@n-kesteven.gov.uk providing your business name, nature of business and rates number. Should you be successful following the application process you will then automatically receive the LRSG Closed Addendum and the Closed Businesses Lockdown Payment (CBLP).
Future Additional Restriction Grant (ARG) Support
We are currently looking into different schemes to support businesses in sectors that have not been targeted as yet, so please check the website regularly for details. We want to support as many local businesses as we can, so therefore advise all businesses to keep an eye on the website as the situation changes and further category specific grants are tabled to launch.
Work is progressing well on site at Discovery Court. The design and build contract between the Council and Lindum Group will provide 21,000 square feet of start-up and grow-on space in North Hykeham.

Quick-response virus tests are available for anyone whose work currently requires them to work away from home or in a public-facing role. It allows critical workers to quickly identify whether they are fit and safe to work or whether they are carrying the virus asymptomatically.
This means that factory workers, health care workers, shop staff within essential retail, the self-employed, tradespeople and people who work in public-facing roles, alongside others or in other people's homes can get a free test to avoid the spread of the virus.
The Sleaford site is at Better Gym on East Road, NG34 7EH. It is open from 8am-8pm daily including weekends on a walk-up basis. Anyone who tests positive or has been in close contact with a positive case is require to self-isolate for ten days. Sleaford Town Council has set up a working group of councillors and local people to produce their first Neighbourhood Development Plan. The Plan will give people more say in how the town develops.
Through the Neighbourhood Plan, the Town Council are inviting you to:
- Provide information about your business and what it needs to thrive
- Say where you want new homes, shops, schools, offices, or other buildings to be located, or not located
- Influence the design of new buildings, roads, green spaces, leisure facilities and other developments
Sleaford Town Council want to hear from as many businesses as possible. By contributing to the Neighbourhood Plan you can make sure that decisions being made are the best for your business. Local businesses could benefit from up to £10,000 of funding through a new grant scheme being planned by the county council.
In light of the economic impact of coronavirus, Lincolnshire County Council's Executive has proposed using some the authority's reserves to provide a £12m package of support for local firms, including business grants. The support is particularly aimed at those that have not benefited from the government's Covid support schemes and smaller businesses with 50 employees or fewer. More information here.

Businesses that took out government-backed Bounce Back Loans to get through Covid-19 will now have greater flexibility to repay their loans.
