NCCD closure

From this evening, The National Centre for Craft & Design will be closed until further notice in response to the Government’s guidance.

The team will continue to monitor advice from the Government and Public Health England, and will keep their website and social media platforms up-to-date with any changes.  

New and exciting programmes of exhibitions, arts programmes, events and workshops will continue to be worked on and planned.  A new Facebook group has been set up to share activities and resources that will keep you creative over the coming weeks and months. Join them at NCCD Family & Community group.

Leisure Centres closed temporarily

All of North Kesteven’s sports and leisure facilities close tonight, in line with Government guidance. The leisure centres operated by Better in Sleaford and North Hykeham, the Northgate Sports Hall and Better Gym Sleaford are all closed until further notice. This is a further measure being taken in order to protect customers and staff and control the spread of the Covid-19 virus, in line with the Prime Minister’s updated statement today.

Better has frozen membership fees and is developing ways to continue enthusing and engaging users in physical activity through its websites and social media accounts. Whisby Natural World Centre, the National Centre for Craft and Design and the Terry O’Toole Theatre have closed too, which is a joint decision made by the Council and its contract operators Better and LincsInspire in response to the need to control Covid-19. parkrun, which happen weekly in Sleaford and Doddington are also suspended.
