Our schools programme for 2019-20 is out now. This includes the updated workshops Norfolk: A County of Welcome and First World War, and the new workshops Working as an Historian and Norfolk's Strangers. Bookings are being taken now. History Detectives

Thursday 15 August

2-3.30pm

Become a history detective and learn about archives at the Norfolk Record Office.

  • Discover the bugs and creepy crawlies that our conservation team have found in documents entering our building.
  • Find out how parchment documents were created in the past.
  • Learn document handling skills before putting these into practice when you look at a range of different documents.
  • Create your very own illuminated initial to take home with you.

Marty McFly had his DeLorean, Dr Who has the TARDIS - jump in The Archive Centre time machine and build your own 3D map imagining the Norfolk of the future.
