Attleborough Library is moving to a new home on 1st May 2019

Attleborough Library will be closed while we move to our new location on the Ground Floor of the Community and Enterprise Centre, Church Street, Attleborough, NR17 2AH.

There will also be no Open Library access during this time.

We will close at 16:00 on Saturday 20 April and reopen at our new location on Wednesday 1 May from 10:00.

Please do come and visit us when we reopen!

What will the new library look like?

The library will be a similar size, and we've taken on board customer requests and have bought lots of new books for the Library. The space will also include:

  • Rooms which can be hired by other organisations.
  • A foyer area for exhibitions, information and a place where you can pick up leaflets and find out about local events.
  • Access to an enclosed reading garden and courtyard.
  • Flexible space so that the library can offer a wider range of activities.

We will keep you updated with more information about the transformation of the Community and Enterprise Centre.

Will the library opening hours change?

No, the opening hours will stay the same. Please visit our website to view our opening hours.

Will the new library have Open Library access?

Yes, Open Library equipment will be installed at the new premises.

Will there be parking?

Yes, but until the work has been completed we are unsure of exactly how many spaces there will be.

What will be happening to the existing library and the land?

The land will be sold, with money going back into Norfolk County Council finances.

Will jobs be affected?
