Welcome to the latest edition of News Direct.
It was good to engage with so many people via my Facebook Live session last night, and apologies if we didn’t get round to your question – it was nothing personal.
I try to answer everything I’m asked as fully and honestly as I can and was pleased to make my views on the benefits of devolution clear as well as topics as diverse as carbon capture, SEND provision and my likeness to Annie Fanny!
More good news for Scunthorpe town centre this week – more Government cash to revamp the High Street plus the news that a new police station is set to be built. This will bring visible policing right into the heart of the town, making people feel secure and encouraging more visitors.
Local businesses, community groups and organisations can also make a difference with the help of Shared Prosperity Fund grants – there is still money to be claimed, but hurry, the deadline is Monday 11 December.
Finally, the weather might be miserable but you can chase away the winter blues by going to Normanby Christmas Market this weekend, a fantastic festive event guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit.
Have a good weekend,
Rob
