October 2023
Amanda Foley BEM, a childminder of over 20 years in South Killingholme, has been awarded the The British Empire Medal (BEM) by his Majesty the King in his first honors list.
The Lord-Leiutenant of the County at the request of His Majesty presented Amanda with her BEM at a celebration event in September, that was attended by parents, local businesses and representatives from the Local Authority.

The team at Amanda's Childminding includes Nat and Jamie and Amanda was adamant that the award was for the team, not just herself.
At her recent anniversary party, celebrating her 20 years, parents signed a keepsake book. One quote was:
"What can I say, you're all absolutely fantastic, you go above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble. Charlie wouldn't be the young man he is today without you all. A MASSIVE thank you!!!"
We at the local authority would like to thank Amanda and the team for their continued service to the children of North Lincolnshire.

North Lincolnshire Council and Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust have, in partnership, produced a Parents' Guide on Using Dummies and Bottles. A copy of this can be found here. Please share with your parents via your communication methods.
