We hope this summer edition of Normanby News finds you well. Lots of exciting events to tell you about, but first we'd like to thank you, our visitors, and our amazing team!
We are proud to share that we are a finalist in the Destination Lincolnshire Tourism Awards 2022, where we've been shortlisted in the Large Visitor Attraction category. Keep your fingers crossed for us at the Awards Evening on 21 October!
Congratulations also go to our friends Go Ape Normanby Hall, finalists in the Experience of the Year section.

Music in the park this weekend
On Sunday we are very pleased to welcome the talented musicians of Markham Main Colliery Band. Don't miss their performance on the lawn, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.
What better way to spend your Sunday afternoon than at Normanby Hall Country Park while listening to some glorious live music and perhaps enjoying a tasty treat from one of our refreshment outlets.
Free entry for Normanby membership holders, or standard day entry applies.
There'll be lots of activities to enjoy for the whole family at our Country Fayre next week, including: live music, pony rides, circus skills and performances from the Firestorm Twirlers and Billy Biscuit's Punch and Judy show.
The day is also a great chance to shop local and support many of Lincolnshire's amazing small businesses. There'll be a great selection joining us, selling everything from yummy food to garden and homeware items you won't find anywhere else! Visitors will also be able to meet the council's One Green Future team and find out how we can work together to make North Lincolnshire cleaner, greener and more sustainable.
Entry is free for Normanby membership holders, or standard day entry applies.
Our Gift Shop stocks some of the best, locally sourced produce from across Lincolnshire and Yorkshire.
This month we are recommending the huge (and delicious!) selection of jams, chutneys, curds and sauces, perfect for hampers, gifts or that special treat for yourself.
We are also selling freshly picked organic apples, carrots, sweetcorn, courgettes and more straight from our own Walled Garden (while stocks last). You can't get more local than that!

Adjoining the park, Normanby Hall Golf Course is widely regarded as one of the best municipal courses in the country and continues to receive praise from golfers.
One recent player to tackle the course, said:
“This could be best course around here, challenging, different: a cracking course".
The recently transformed club house is the perfect vantage point to admire the play on the 18th, while enjoying a refreshing drink or bite to eat.
Players can now book their round of golf on the new course website.

Banksy comes to Scunthorpe: Your chance to see world-famous street art
We wanted to round off this issue by sharing news of a fantastic exhibition our friends at 20-21 Visual Arts Centre have put on that may be of interest to our subscribers!
Called a "must see" by visitors, New Icons gives families the chance to enjoy works by street art legend Banksy, alongside some of the biggest names in contemporary art, including Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and many more.
Children can get creative and add their own urban designs to the interactive ARTivities graffiti wall too.
The exhibition is open until 5 November. Tickets are free to North Lincolnshire residents, but visitors are asked to book via the 20-21 Visual Arts Centre website in advance due to demand.
Until next time, thank you for reading and we hope to see you soon!
