Keeping warm and well this winter
As we get older, our bodies respond differently and this can leave us ‘at risk’ in cold weather. But with a little preparation, we can help ourselves to stay healthy and as comfortable as possible during the winter. Staying active is not only important for your general wellbeing and fitness – it also generates heat and helps to keep you warm.
Exercise not only improves your health but can drastically improve your mood, helping you feel more positive - even on the darkest of days. Further information is available on the council's winter health webpage or visit the council’s Active Together webpages. Or telephone 01724 297280.
AgeUK is a very useful website and has lots of useful advice to help you keep well during the winter months.
