NDA's Head of Technology Melanie Brownridge welcomes the government's recently published Nuclear Sector Deal and the benefits it will bring for innovation in nuclear decommissioning.
Around 200 stakeholders attended our recent Summit, learning of the progress being made in decommissioning and cleaning up the legacy left from the earliest days of the UK’s civil nuclear industry.
Alex Chisholm, Permanent Secretary at the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy told around 200 key stakeholders at the NDA Stakeholder Summit:
“The Nuclear Decommissioning Authority is evolving to become a more resilient, efficient and effective organisation that continues to drive transformation and deliver value for money for the taxpayer.”
The Stakeholder Summit aimed to encourage discussion about the NDA’s work in delivering its mission focussing on progress in R&D, waste management, skills and socio-economic sustainability.
