Nottingham Schools gather for WE Day Community

Over 1000 children from Nottingham Schools and beyond attended the first WE Day in Nottingham at the Royal Concert Hall last Tuesday. The day included motivational speeches from Martin Luther King III, Mukadass Javaid, Isabelle Weal, Joe Dempsie and Emilio Estevez, to name just a few as well as live music and Nottingham Actress Vicky McClure.

Nottingham Schools have said their pupils found it "inspiring and exciting." Rosslyn Park tweeted: "We all left feeling inspired, full of energy and ready to make a change." Southwold Primary tweeted "We are buzzing with ideas on how to improve our local and global community."

WE Schools is an innovative series of experiential social action programmes that engage teachers and young people globally to empower them with the skills, knowledge and motivation to bring positive change in themselves and the world.
