Emotional Health and Resilience Charter Case Study: Henry Whipple Primary School
Henry Whipple school have completed their case study identifying how changes have been made as part of the Emotional Well Being and Resilience plan. They have taken the last ten minutes of lunchtime to do a ‘Headspace’ programme with all of the children. The children accessing ‘Routes To Inclusion ‘ do their ‘Amazing Me' or alternatives during this time at some points in the week.
Children say they are calm and relaxed and ready to start learning at the beginning of the afternoon. The sessions are impacting on learning progress and pupil outcomes.
Libraries Week 7-13 October - During Libraries Week, communities and library staff across the country join in a week-long celebration of the nation’s much-loved libraries, and this year’s theme will focus on Celebrating Libraries in the Digital World. World Mental Health Day Thursday 10th October 2019 - Mental health problems can affect anyone, any day of the year. Mind have some tips on practical steps you can take to improve and maintain your wellbeing including making time for yourself, building positive relationships and getting active. find out more
Early Outcomes Fund Consultation - As part of our Early Outcomes Fund work we are wanting the views of City parents and carers around their experiences about speech, language and communication needs and support and what changes they would like to see to help shape recommendations for how future services can be improved. Best Practice Guide for Schools: Prejudice incidents - This guide has been created by Nottinghamshire Police, Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council to support schools and educational institutions in dealing with prejudice-based incidents. Tackling prejudice is central to the successful promotion of fundamental British values, especially in relation to the values of respect and tolerance and the rule of law.
