New Year, New School, Newly Qualified Teachers - To welcome Newly Qualified Teachers to the City, we are hosting a free event at the Council House on Wednesday 26th September from 2pm to 4.30pm. The Essential Guide to NQT Induction Programme is open to all NQTs undertaking their Induction Year in city schools or academies with Nottingham City as the Appropriate Body.
NQTs will gain an insight into what to expect during their induction year and have the chance to meet other NQTs as well as the team. There will also be a chance to hear what works well and what to be aware of from RQTs who have completed their induction and an opportunity to ask questions. NQTs will also receive practical examples of effective workload management and additional support when needed.

Schools Finance Reminder - A Consultation Briefing Event is being held on Thursday 6th September at the Notts County Ground (1862 suite) on proposals to transfer funding from the Schools Block to the High Needs Block in 2019/20. Independent Travel Training - Independent Travel Training is a scheme designed to provide everyday travel skills to young people who have learning difficulties and physical disabilities and may experience problems when using public transport.
