Swimming Safety Over the summer lots of children and families will go swimming.  Swimming can be great fun but it is essential that parents and carers know about water and swimming safety.  There is information and advice here that you can share with parents and carers.

Online safety during the summer holidays

Mental wellbeing

The summer holidays are typically seen as a time to relax and to enjoy the freedom of not being at school.  However, for some children and young people the change in routine and lack of structure that going to school normally provides, can be very challenging. 

Any child or young person, who self-harms or expresses thoughts about this or suicide, must be taken seriously and appropriate help and intervention should be offered at the earliest point. Any practitioner, who is made aware that a child or young person has self-harmed, or is contemplating this or suicide, should talk with the child or young person without delay.
