New electric vehicle charging point pilot set to start in West Bridgford
Western Power Distribution is looking for around 50 West Bridgford households who have or who
are thinking of buying an Electric Vehicle (EV) to take part in an exciting
pilot scheme that’s part of its LV Connect and Manage programme.
The 18-month pilot is being run in partnership with the Sustainable
Travel Collective’s Big Wheel team and engineering specialists Nortech
Management Limited. EV fast chargers will be provided and installed for
free without customers having to go through the disruption of upgrading the
electricity cables into their home, and paying for that service.
The scheme’s official
launch will take place in March, but to find out more or to sign up to receive
information after the launch find out more
EV Champions’ Programme – ULEV Owner Focus Group
Our first focus group with owners and
drivers of ULEVs & EVs as part of our 'EV Champions' programme to get
feedback on our ideas for the programme and to discuss possible participation
from you as ULEV owners is coming up.
Go Ultra Low Nottingham's 'EV
Champions' project aims to convince as many people as possible, over a broad
range of motorists, that they can make the switch to an ULEV by demonstrating
their practicality, cost savings and other benefits. The idea of involving EV
owners to relay this message is that the best advocates of these vehicles are
not policy-makers, but the real-world owners. By connecting the wider public
with owners and showing EVs in use in everyday life, people will more easily
overcome any negative connotations associated with these vehicles that they see
as barriers to ownership.
Visit our website here for
information on the Go Ultra Low Nottingham Programme.
We look forward to welcoming
you for a lively evening of discussion and networking, to help shape this
vitally important aspect of the Go Ultra Low Nottingham Programme.
Register to attend here
Please note this event
is for drivers and owners of Plug-in Hybrids and Electric/Range Extended
vehicles only.
