Watch, play and enjoy Tennis in Nottingham this summer

More than 26,000 fans, including 4,500 local school children flocked to the Nottingham Tennis Centre for the WTA and ATP tournaments in June. The two Aegon Open Nottingham events have seen the return of world class tennis to the city and have also worked to highlight the opportunities to play tennis in and around the city for all communities.

Nottingham Post revealed this week that Nottingham is one of the top cities to play the game in the country! New research has placed Nottingham eighth above the likes of Leeds and Manchester when it comes to the number of tennis courts per amount of people living in the city. The research, based on the 2011 Census shows that Nottingham has a total of 173 courts - that's one court for every 1,672 people living in the city. Click here to read the full story.

Join the Nottingham Parks Tennis League

Been meaning to get back into tennis or would like to set yourself a challenge and meet new people? The Nottingham Parks Tennis (singles) League is open to men and women aged 18 and over of all standards.

Players arrange their own matches at a mutually convenient time over 8 weeks, from Thursday 16 July to Wednesday 9 September. Any court that suits both players can be used, and of course all tennis courts in Nottingham parks are completely free!

It's a great way to have some competitive fun. Why not give it a go?

World Class Tennis continues

Nottingham Tennis Centre is hosting two disability tennis events in July. The British Open Wheelchair Tennis Championships takes place 14 – 19 July 2015 followed a week later by the first ever World Deaf Tennis Championships from 20 to 26 July 2015.
