Rapid testing in MK
You can collect up to 14 free lateral flow tests from the Central MK Library. No need to book, show ID or register - just ask a member of staff.
If you have to leave their home to work, or if you act as an informal carer for family, friends or neighbours, you can also visit our Central MK Library for a free on site test. No need to book. Results will be sent to you within around 45 minutes.
The centre is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm, and on Tuesday and Thursday from 9.30am to 7pm.
Lateral Flow Testing in Workplaces
Lateral flow testing can help to find cases in workplaces and stop the disease spreading. Identifying cases early means larger outbreaks are less likely to happen, which protects people’s health and can protect your business – ensuring it can continue to operate.
If you have fewer than 50 employees, any employees who can’t work from home can visit MK Council’s test centre at the Central Library every weekday.
If you have more than 50 employees, you can order tests for your staff. Register an interest by emailing p-and-psector@dhsc.gov.uk or clicking here. You must register by 31 March 2021. You’re welcome to contact MK Council to learn how our test centre works in order to shape your own plans. Just email us on keyworkertesting@milton-keynes.gov.uk.
The main symptoms of COVID-19 are:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
If you have any of these symptoms please self-isolate and get a test. Anyone you live with or in your ‘support bubble’ will need to isolate and be tested too.
