MK Covid Champions Code of Conduct
The purpose of the COVID-19 Community Champion scheme is to help ensure that residents across Milton Keynes hear correct and consistent information about the COVID-19 arrangements. We recognise that there is often debate and sometimes disagreement, but our role is to tell people what the rules are so they can apply them to their everyday lives.
Therefore, as a COVID-19 Community Champion, you are asked to agree to these five guidelines:
- Any information or advice you circulate comes from Milton Keynes Council or the Government.
- You do not make political statements in respect of the advice you are sharing
- To ensure that key messages are not undermined please do not debate the merits of the guidance.
- If someone disagrees with the guidance simply signpost them to the correct information.
- Do not apply your own interpretation of guidelines – if in doubt, ask for clarification.
Future Champion Activity
For those Champions who are keen to get more involved in supporting their local community we are talking to Community Action MK and will keep you updated on developments.
