Business survey results are in...

Thank you to you everyone who completed our business survey. The survey was undertaken to help us better understand the growth and development needs of businesses in Malvern Hills district and add quality to the base information available from National and Regional data sets.

The key findings from the 131 representative responders were:

The shortage of suitable premises and expansion land were key issues.

Broadband coverage was the most important issue for businesses. While coverage in the district has improved, there are continuing issues outside the larger urban centres.

There is a shortage of skills, with particular skill deficits identified in sales, design and marketing, higher level IT skills e.g.  Web design and programming and customer service skills.

Businesses value Malvern Hills as a great environment in which to both live and work.

The full results of this will be published in the Autumn.
