Free Cyber eLearning Package Launched

As part of their endeavours to make the local area a safer place to do business, the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, Worcestershire Business Central and the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce have launched a free to use eLearning package about assessing the business risk of cyber-crime.

The package is aimed at the non-technical community and takes a business approach to assessing and managing the risk of cyber crime.

Worcestershire Business Accelerator

Business Accelerator

Business Accelerator is a dynamic new service that will support 200 businesses, which have been trading for 2 years or more, to achieve sustainable growth.

The businesses selected to participate in the programme can access one-to-one consultancy support, seminars and workshops on a wide range of business topics. 

Grants of £5,000 - £20,000 are available to support business growth plans. Demand is expected to be high, so businesses should register their interest in participating at the earliest opportunity!

Visit Herefordshire & Visit Worcestershire Awards for Excellence

The Visit Herefordshire & Visit Worcestershire Awards for Excellence are now open for entries. 

This year there are 11 categories to enter, including 'Best Visitor Attraction', 'Best Hotel', 'Best Conference Venue', 'Best Food Producer', 'Best Drinks Producer', and 'Best Eating Out'.

Malvern Hills Business Briefing (Reminder)

Malvern Hills District Council is engaging with local businesses through a series of regular Business Briefing events.

This time the session will focus on new business support in the area. There will be the opportunity for businesses to share their views on how the council can best support them, and to discuss any issues they may currently be facing, as well as an opportunity for networking. 

Malvern Science in the Park

Science in the Park

The ‘Malvern Science in the Park’ family fun day takes place on Saturday 1st July 2017, in Priory Park, Great Malvern from 10.30am – 4.30pm.  

Responding to the national skills shortage in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) subjects, the social enterprise Innovate Malvern is organising the event with support from Malvern Hills District Council and Gold Sponsors the Institute of Physics, and the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership.

The action packed day will be full of interactive activities and live performances to excite and inspire in equal measure. There will be hands-on workshops and experiments, science trails to follow, and a programme of timetabled shows and activities throughout the day.

The event if free to attend, so why not bring along a picnic for a family day out learning how the world works, and why. The full programme is available here.
