Hold the date: Our first ever Medway Business and Skills Showcase event takes place on Wednesday, 10 April at MidKent College.
The event will celebrate the best of business in Medway, with a packaged agenda full of resources and information useful for any local business professional, whether you’re just starting out or looking to develop your business and skillset.

Whether you’re looking to get your business off the ground or need help to take your business to the next level, we’re committed to supporting the growth of businesses in Medway.
There are two key funding schemes currently available:
- The Kent and Medway Business Fund (KMBF)
If you employ less than 250 people and have match-funding in place, you could apply for a 0% interest loan from the Kent and Medway Business Fund (KMBF).
The Small Business Boost or KMBF standard loans are open for applications and the interest free loans can help enable your business to grow.

2. Partners for Growth (PFG)
PFG is a Medway Council scheme. It provides grants for small-to-medium enterprise (SME) businesses in Medway that are looking to take their growth to the next stage.
The scheme is available to Medway residents who are thinking of setting up a business, looking to grow their business or looking to make their business more environmentally sustainable
Our partners at the Kent and Medway Growth Hub offer free business advice and one-to-one-planning. Eligible small businesses can apply for start-ups grants of up to £1,000.

Are you thinking about setting up a new business? Her Biz, the 'virtual' Women's Start Up programme is returning to support aspiring female entrepreneurs in East Sussex and Kent.
Her Biz is designed specifically to encourage more women to start a business, why not, turn your idea into a reality with the chance to WIN £500 towards your start-up costs!
The programme consists of 4 x 2 1/2 hour sessions over Zoom, each from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
Dates: Friday 19 and 26 January, 2 and 9 February 2024.
Closing date to apply: Wednesday, 10 January.

If you are involved in the net zero supply chain, or looking to get into it, and want to find out more about how your business can fully benefit from this new and developing area of growth, then dial in and hear from industry experts.
This event is aimed at businesses that are:
-Already investing in sustainable and net zero products and services
-Operating in the construction sector but not currently in net zero.
-Starting up and see net zero as a potential growth area.
Taking place on Wednesday, 17 January between 5.30pm - 7pm.Register here

This new event will celebrate the very best of Kent and Medway’s thriving food and drink industry - and you can nominate your favourites here.
