BumpClub is a friendly group for expectant mums in Medway, where we focus on staying healthy in pregnancy and beyond.
We will discuss baby care, cooking, keeping to a healthy weight during pregnancy, and so much more. It's also a great way to meet other mums!

If you want your family to enjoy a healthy and happy life but feel like you need some help to get them back to a healthier weight, we can help. Making simple changes can get your family eating more healthily, being more active and feeling more motivated.
Courses start in September and are completely free to join.

 1 month to go: Medway Design and Regeneration Awards 2022
We’re just a few weeks away from the second ever Design and Regeneration Awards, taking place on Thursday, 22 September at The Corn Exchange in Rochester.
The awards recognise a highly impressive catalogue of innovative building projects across Medway.
Over the next month we will be profiling each of the nominees across seven award categories, before we unveil the winners. Follow our Medway Council Facebook and Twitter pages to see each project - #MedwayDesignandRegenAwards. There might be an exciting project near you…

 Innovation Park Medway – latest update
Infrastructure work continues on the northern site of Innovation Park Medway (one of two sites situated next to Rochester Airport). This includes the delivery of drainage, power, lighting, the runway park and utilities. This site will provide 28 office plots. Design work has also commenced on one of the multi-storey car parks.
Over on the southern site, we are designing and supporting the build of one of the office plots. We will also be developing a decked car park with open roof parking (provide spaces for 2198 cars, including 24 electric charging points).

 Bids are in to make further improvements to Medway
Over the last few weeks, we’ve submitted a number of development bid for regeneration projects:
- Following public engagement between 30 May and 10 June, we have recently submitted a Levelling Up Fund bid to improve Gillingham. If successful, the project will help improve travel and transport around the town, creating a 1.4km pedestrian and cycle connection 'greenway' between Gillingham Waterfront and Gillingham town centre, including new spaces to promote walking and cycling. This would be in addition to upgrading the high street.
We received 192 responses to our survey. Feedback included:
- 84% said they would walk and cycle more if there were more traffic-free routes
- 77% said they felt the scheme would make them feel more connected
- 90% could see themselves using the route either very often, often or occasionally
- 90% said they would visit the high street more often if improvements were made. Learn more
- We’ve also submitted a further Levelling Up Fund bid for two buildings at the Innovation Park Medway site. Learn More
- Medway is also set to benefit from new government funding to improve public services and spread opportunities, helping to build pride in Medway and increase life chances. We have been allocated £1.8million from the government’s Shared Prosperity Fund to invest in three key areas: community and place, supporting businesses and people and skills. We will share more details on our plans to use this funding (over a three-year period) later this autumn.
