White ribbon day Friday 25 November 2022
Earlier this year Manchester City Council received accreditation from the charity whose mission is for all men to fulfil the White Ribbon Promise to never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women. On White Ribbon Day there will be lots of activities around Manchester. On Friday 25 November 10am-3pm, colleagues will staff a White Ribbon stall on the Christmas Market in Piccadilly Gardens. Parks at Platt Fields Wythenshawe and Boggart Hole Clough will plant bulbs that will grow into a white ribbon shape. Take part in White Ribbon Day to spread the message further within your teams, for example, by adding the White Ribbon logo to your email signature. You can visit the White Ribbon website to see what you can else do to support this campaign.

Bikeability and MCRactive
MCRactive have been provided with three Tern e-Cargo bikes as part of a three-year pilot trial. MCRactive staff are working to make the bikes available to use soon and plan to have the bikes initially based on the Etihad Campus. However, you must complete the Level 3 Bikeability training, before you can use the electric bike. These electric cargo bikes are funded by the Department of Transport, Energy Savings Trust and Manchester City Council in the hopes that it will make commuters' journeys easier.
