Better Care Fund

The Better Care Fund (BCF)  Policy Framework and Planning Requirements for 2022-23 have now been published. We are happy to confirm that the LGA has endorsed both documents. Please circulate the link to these documents to those in your authority who lead on integration and the BCF.   

Care and support and homelessness: Top tips on the role of adult social care

This guidance note is aimed at directors of adult social services and their teams and focuses on the role of social care in supporting people experiencing and recovering from homelessness.

Supporting adults with a learning disability framework

We have produced accessible versions of the framework. including a video, Easy Read and Easy Read text version.

Mandatory training about learning disability and autism for health and social care provider staff

From 1 July 2022, health and social care providers registered with CQC (Care Quality Commission), must ensure that their staff receive training on learning disabilities and autism appropriate to their role. We have produced a briefing on mandatory training about learning disability and autism for health and social care provider staff.

Integration of Health and Social Care - Implications for Adult Safeguarding

On Thursday 8 September we are holding a workshop to explore the issues, concerns, and opportunities that are unfolding as ICBs and health and social care integration develop. The workshop will include feedback from a project looking at the impact on Adult Safeguarding. Small group discussions will focus on what useful guidance, including reference to the newly emerging governance assurance arrangements, can be made available. The output of the workshop will be included in the final project report.
