Dear colleagues,

I just wanted to touch base with you in the full awareness that you will be totally engaged in COVID-19 response either locally, nationally or with your family. I have just two brief messages:

Firstly to say that we are keen to stay in touch with and learn from your local experiences as we are starting our planning for the recovery and considering what would be the most effective support for local political and clinical leaders of health, care and wellbeing going forward into recovery.

Secondly, I just want to say that I am retiring in the next couple of weeks from my role as Director of Health and Wellbeing System Improvement after seven years and have enjoyed working with everyone and leave you in the hands of a great team. I will be concentrating on my non-executive director role at my local NHS Trust.

If you want to share your experiences as a local leader in health and wellbeing at this time and how your HWB has reacted, or indeed have any ideas on how we could support you going into recovery, please contact caroline.bosdet@local.gov.uk.

Yours,

Caroline Tapster
Director, Health and Wellbeing System Improvement Programme
