LG Inform, the LGA data benchmarking service

Metrics added to LG Inform this month include:

    Road Casualties statistics – 2013-15
The number of people of all ages killed or seriously injured in road traffic accidents in England for the period 2013-2015 was 20,914, this has fallen from 21,147 for the previous period 2012-14.

Bus services - the proportion of non-frequent scheduled services running on time - 2015/16
Bus punctuality is defined as keeping public service buses to their scheduled bus departure times. This indicator is the percentage of non-frequent buses (fewer than 6 buses per hour) that leave on time. This is measured by whether the bus departs within its “on-time” window of 1 minute 0 seconds early to 5 minutes 59 seconds late. Buses that fail to run are treated as “late” and are included in the calculations. In England in 2015/16 82.6 per cent of non-frequent bus services ran on time, this fell from 82.9 per cent in 2014/15 and 83.1 per cent in 2013/14.

    Diabetes prevalence - 2014/15
This measure is the proportion of people on GP registers aged 17 years and over with a recorded diagnosis of diabetes. In 2013/14 across England this was 6.21 per cent, this has increased for the most recent data for 2014/15 to 6.37 per cent.
