Leeds Travel to Work Survey 2022

This year’s Leeds City Council travel to work survey closes on Friday 2nd December so there are a few more days left for everyone working in Leeds to take part. Travelling in Leeds this winter

Visit Leeds Travel Guide

With over £100 million of transformative highways works planned and underway to improve the city centre, there’s lots going on in Leeds this winter. Your normal route may have changed and there might be more congestion, but with lower Mayor’s Fares introduced by Tracey Brabin and extended hours at Park and Ride facilities, there’s no better time to catch the bus or try walking or cycling to get about in the city. Visit Leeds has provided a handy guide to help you plan your journeys, whether you’re travelling for work, shopping, or for festive fun:  Leeds Winter Travel Guide

The arrival of Leeds’s first public e-bike hire is moving nearer. Operators were invited to bid for the contract, and the tender closed at the end of October, taking us one step closer to seeing the service roll out in 2023. The scheme will initially see e-bikes for hire at docking stations in the centre and along key routes, before expanding to other areas of the city. The aim is to enable more people to switch to cycling for shorter journeys, with tariffs comparable to public transport fares. It has been made possible thanks to funding secured through the West Yorkshire Mayoral devolution deal in partnership with Leeds City Council.   Subject to further funding, it is hoped the Leeds e-bike hire scheme is the first of many to be rolled out across West Yorkshire.
