Leeds is home to a number of beautiful green spaces and gardens. Stroll around the lake at Roundhay Park, one of the biggest and most popular city parks in Europe, or visit Golden Acre Park which is near to two of Leeds' most treasured nature reserves: Breary Marsh and Adel Dam. Take in the historical splendour of Kirkstall Abbey with a visit to the grounds. Beautiful gardens await at Temple Newsam and Lotherton Hall. And who could forget the dramatic views of Otley Chevin?

Street art has made a splash in Leeds in recent years, bringing a burst of colour to the city’s buildings. Follow the street art trail to discover the striking works that provide a decorative backdrop for much of the city, creating an ever-growing web of distinctive pieces that tell the story of Leeds and its communities. Another popular city centre trail is The Owl Trail; download the map and see if you can find all the outdoor owls!

Shout out to Leeds Indie Food who have just launched a new magazine packed with articles, music, coffee tips, puzzles and more. But, our favourite part, is all the excellent recipe ideas from Leeds’ independents; try Little Bao Boy’s Fool Proof Piñata Pulled Pork, OWT’s Vegan Cake, Caramelized Biscuit Traybake from local baking superstar and The Great British Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain, and plenty more. The magazine is available to view online or, if you prefer a physical copy, for £2 a magazine can be posted out to you. And what's more – cooking can be great for your mental health!

VIRTUAL VISITS
Leeds attractions have come up with creative and entertaining ways to ‘visit’ them from the comfort of your own home. There are tours, activities and behind the scenes access at the Royal Armouries Museum. Exhibitions and art have moved online thanks to Leeds Museums and Galleries. Be sure to check out the latest addition: All Clouds are Clocks, All Clocks are Clouds by Sara Barker. Harewood’s YouTube can keep you entertained for hours with videos on everything from historical insights to at home creativity and walks around the grounds. These are just some of the many ways you can enjoy Leeds at home.

Events have moved online and there’s a full weekend of fun awaiting. Here are a few of our picks:
Friday. Unwind from the week with Buds & Blossom Yoga at 6pm. Looking for a quiz? Chemic Tavern are ‘there for yooouu’ with their Friends themed live quiz tonight at 8pm.
Saturday. RJC Dance are here to help you get fit and have fun doing so with a mix of dance styles at 11am. How about a night at the theatre? With Leeds theatres and dance companies offering so many incredible performances online to choose from, you’ve got the hottest ticket in town.
Sunday. Every Sunday afternoon at 1:30pm, Jazz Leeds have a jazz lockdown video session, featuring music and videos from their jazz archives plus living room concerts from some of Leeds best known jazz artists.
Monday. Time for a trip to Temple Newsam Home Farm with Farmer Joe's latest vlog, released every Monday. Then workout meets night out with Clubbercise live at 7pm.
