Free grit giveaway starts next week!
We are again offering residents up to 50kg of free rock salt from the our depot in Langhorn Drive, Twickenham. This is a key part of our annual winter initiative to tackle snow and ice and help make our roads and pavements safer. The rock salt will be available for collection next week, from Monday 18 to Friday 22 November between the hours of 9am and 3pm.
We are here for you this winter
We recently held our first Money Advice Roadshow at Whitton Community Centre where local residents came along for free advice from experts on making their money go further. You can find out when our next roadshow will be taking place by signing up to our Cost of Living Support email updates. We also have lots of other support available this winter including our network of Community Spaces, free Warm Home Packs and Winter Warmth Home Service for eligible households as well as food support from Richmond Food Bank, cooking classes and community lunches to surplus food stalls and pay-as-you-feel cafes.

Help shape our Air Quality Action Plan at our in-person drop-in session
Join us on Wednesday 27 November at York House in Twickenham to share your views on our draft Air Quality Action Plan. We want to get as much feedback on the elements of this plan as we can from people who live, work and regularly visit our borough. You can drop in between 2-4pm or 5-8pm. We’ve also published an online consultation survey through which you can have your say. This survey is open until 20 January 2025.
