Skate Cabal
International Youth Day 12 August
The theme for International Youth Day 2023 is Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World.
To celebrate this special day, we are delighted to showcase one of our young Newham entrepreneurs; James Kaguima, founder of Skate Cabal.
James started the community-driven platform using roller skating to empower individuals. He is also a Chair of Elevate at London Legacy Development Corporation, bridging the gap between opportunity and the community.
Discussing his journey into entrepreneurship, James said:"My biggest role model is my grandfather who paved his pay from poverty in Kenya to become a successful real estate developer. I also overcame many challenges faced by job rejections in law school to becoming an entrepreneur aiming to help others today."
James has recently been nominated for the Rising Star of the Year with Foundervine’s Changemaker Awards. The voting window is now open until 25 August so please consider voting for him.
