There will be plenty of goodies for any trick or treaters
who visit you and some superb pumpkins to carve into ghoulish faces – don’t
forget you can roast the flesh, make pumpkin mash or turn it into a delicious soup to enjoy.

 Mark it in the Market
Have your bike security coded, by the Safer Transport team, free of charge on the first Saturday of each month.
The next session will be on Saturday 1 November, between 11.00am and 2.00pm at the South Street end of the market place
between Lloyds Bank and the Cooperative Bank.
All residents have to do is turn up so their bike can be security marked
and stickers attached to warn would be thieves that they should leave
this cycle alone.
These free sessions in Romford Market on the first Saturday of each
month are one of the ways that the council and police work together to
keep crime levels low in our community.

Princesses on parade
Despite 297 princesses arriving in Romford
Market last Saturday the record wasn’t broken but they did raise a fantastic
£602 for Children in Need.
The event was organised by Romford Shopping Hall and
among those welcoming the princesses were the Mayor of Havering, Councillor Linda Trew, the Leader of
Havering Council, Councillor Roger Ramsey and Pudsey
Bear.
The organisers are now planning a second attempt at the
world record for gathering the largest number of princesses in one place with
Easter being the most likely time for the new attempt.
Do keep looking out for the date and the put on that
special dress and head down to Romford
Market.
