Support your local hospice this Christmas

We understand that the run up to Christmas time can be hard if someone special is going to be missed from the celebrations.

That’s why Saint Francis Hospice organises Light Up a Life to reflect, remember and celebrate the lives of those you miss – whether or not they received hospice care.

New Scheme to protect Children outside Schools

Havering Council will be applying a PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) around Wykeham Primary School with effect from Monday 7 November 2016. This will be the first of four schools in the borough where PSPOs are planned.

The introduction of PSPOs follows from a number of complaints about the safety of children around the school and a public consultation that showed a clear majority for the implementation of the schemes that are designed to make it safer for children and minimise the risk of accidents.

Havering Council’s solar parks proposals: Consultation extended

Havering Council has extended its consultation on the two proposed solar parks at Gerpins lane and the scrub land adjacent to Dagnman Park. The council would like to hear your views by Monday 14 November. This is a great opportunity for the council and residents as it can potentially generate £800,000 which can be used for local services. If these proposals go through, Havering will become London’s first council to create solar parks in its borough.

You can send in your views via email (hyperlink: energystrategy@havering.gov.uk). Find out more here: www.havering.gov.uk/solarcouncil.
