If you know your way round a computer and could spare an
hour or two to help someone who doesn’t, we’d like to hear from you.
Collier Row Library is looking for volunteers to run some
IT support sessions each month at the library.
Help needed can range from setting up an email account through to
helping access Council services online. Please
complete the form here if you are able to help.

We’re asking residents how they want to get the information they need from the Council and also what their experiences have been of contacting us.
Our thanks go to the more than 2,000 residents who have already completed the consultation. Your views are very much valued and will help us find the best way to communicate with residents.

 Collier Row help needed for Summer Reading Challenge
This summer more than 3,000
Havering children are expected to get involved in the Summer Reading Challenge
and we need volunteers, age 13 years or over, who are willing to spend
some time at Collier Row library listening to children talk about the books
they have read.

level in the Royal Horticultural Society's prestigious Britain in Bloom competition 2016.

by joining or starting community projects or simply by making your own home as

Can you help at
Collier Row Library?
Collier Row Library is looking for volunteers to work alongside
staff.
Volunteers can help with everything from
creating exciting book displays to shelf-stacking, to helping with baby-bounce
events or teaching people how to use computers and iPads right through to
fundraising or helping libraries reach more people.

Each police Safer Neighbourhoods Team
(SNT) holds meetings where the public can attend, ask questions and get
crime prevention advice.

Crack down on ASB
A three-month closure notice has been served on an address in Collier Row Road, Collier Row as part of Havering Police's crack down on Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) in the area.

The
forms cover a wide range of issues from fly-tipping to potholes. Completing the correct form sends it direct to
the right people to deal with that issue.

Our website gives you a simple way to access
whatever you need – from planning applications to swimming pool opening times –
on your computer, tablet or smartphone, at a time that suits you. If you
don’t have your own device, you can log on at your local library, where staff
will be on hand to offer help.

Collier Row Community Group will be holding its Summer Fun Day on Sunday 7 August so keep the date free in your diary.

 Great for gardeners
The Collier Row Horticultural Society and Allotments Association Trading Hut is open
Saturday and Sundays 10am to 12.30pm.
Stockists of an extensive range of
equipment, seeds, compost and many other useful items for the
‘allotmenteer’ and gardener.
The
Trading Hut is located on Chase Cross Lane, Collier Row as part of the allotment
site. Parking available.

Free Grow > Cook > Eat events this summer
Throughout the school summer holidays Bedfords Park Walled Gardens,
Broxhill Road, Havering-atte-Bower, RM4 1QH is holding free Grow > Cook
> Eat events every Monday, starting on 25 July, 9am – 5pm for children between the ages of
eight and 11 years.
Places are limited and must be
booked in advance online here.

Centre every Tuesday, 1.45pm – 3.45pm, and is looking for new members.
