Street Watch to launch soon in Harold Hill
Plans are in place to launch a Street Watch group in Heaton Ward, and then expand it to cover Harold Hill.
Street Watch is about walking in your local area as a good
citizen and to help take responsibility for your local areas. It also helps tackle
the low level issues that impact most on the communities that we live in and to
help improve on the quality of life.
Street Watch members are ordinary citizens with NO police
powers. If a member sees anything suspicious all they are asked to do is report
it to the police. They can also give active support to the community by
providing reassurance and visible presence to reduce crime and anti-social
behaviour.
If you are interested in joining this new Street Watch group or want more details email PC Sian Lipyeat.

Secure your cycle
Cycles are expensive to replace, some simple steps can make them secure.
PCSO Jackie Whitelock, from Havering Police Safer Transport Team, said: "The easiest way to join the Bike Register
is by coming to a Mark it in the Market event on the first Saturday of each month, near Cycles UK in Romford Market."
The next Mark it in the Market is on Saturday 7 May.
