provide a room, with wi-fi, where you can work, meet clients and discuss issues with other
local entrepreneurs and experts from Wimble
Tech, which has set up similar centres in other London Boroughs.

Two meetings to discuss new safer parking at Parsonage Farm School
Parsonage Farm Primary School, in Rainham, is among six primary schools in
Havering piloting a new initiative to tackle the
problem of dangerous parking outside schools.
Residents
can find out more at two meetings being held at the school on:
Monday
11 April,
4pm - 6pm, Residents’ Drop In Session.
Wednesday 13 April, 4pm - 6pm, Parents Drop In Session,
A key part of the scheme is introducing a
Public Space Protection Order under the Crime and Policing Act 2014, enforced by
fixed CCTV cameras, with offending motorists fined £100 for each offence,
with the threat of criminal prosecution for repeat offences.

 £17m for new homes in Rainham
In a £17million deal housing association, Circle Housing, has bought the former Somerfield depot in New Road, Rainham. The eight-acre site is next to the planned Beam Park Station, which is due to open in 2020.
Planning permission for 497 homes, a community hub, commercial premises and an energy centre exists for the site.

Party for Queen's Birthday
On Sunday 12 June 2016, Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth II will celebrate her 90th birthday.
Communities across Havering can be part of this
national celebration by organising a neighbourhood street party. Street
parties are a great part of British life and an opportunity for communities to
come together and celebrate national occasions. The deadline for street party applications is Friday 29 April.

Interior Design: Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Learn to design and plan bedroom and bathroom spaces on
this Interior Design course, held over five weeks at the Brittons Centre in
Rainham. This Havering Adult College course starts on Monday 18

No bridge too far for 3rd Rainham
Walking seven miles, crossing seven bridges from Westminster
to Tower Bridge in four hours was the latest fund raising adventure for 3rd Rainham Scouts, which
brought in £102 in donations from people they met along the way.

 If you see something that needs improving in Rainham please report it using the Council’s
online forms.
The forms cover a wide range of issues from fly-tipping to
potholes.
Completing the correct form sends it direct to the right
people to deal with that issue.

Free swimming
Children aged under eight-years-old will be able
to swim for free at Chafford Sports Complex, in Lambs Lane, Rainham as Everyone Active
extends its swimming offer until October 2016.

 Everyone Active also offers free swimming for adults
aged 50 and above, at specific times throughout the week, which will also be
extended until October 2016.
