Roadworks
Until Friday
26 February, road works will take place on London Road, Romford, near junction with Old Mill Place. Temporary
traffic lights will be in use.
On Monday
29 February, road works will take place on Chase Cross Road, Romford,
near the junction with Cardiff
Close. Temporary traffic lights will be in use between 10am
and 3pm.
From Friday 4 March until Saturday 5 March,
road works will take place on Orange
Tree Hill, Havering-atte-Bower, at the junction with North Road. Temporary
traffic lights will be in use between 10pm and 4.30am.

Road
closures
The
following temporary road closures are in place:
Until Wednesday 18 May, between 9.30am and
3.30pm daily Salisbury Road, Gidea Park will
be closed in both directions, between Brentwood Road and Heath Park Road.

 A127 road and footway closures
Until the end of March one
eastbound
lane will be closed as part of the Ardleigh Green Bridge replacement.
The footway and verge within the traffic island at the
junction of the A127 and Bryant Avenue will also be closed during the
same period.

 M11 improvement work
Improvement
work on the M11, worth £4.7million, continues until the summer. The
first phase of work will involve resurfacing the M11 southbound at junction 8
(Stansted Airport). The work will be carried out overnight from 10pm
until 6am and is expected to last two weeks. Further
embankment and drainage work will take place at junction 8 from Friday 26
February.

Lower Thames Crossing

Highways
England has launched the next stage in the formal consultation on the Lower
Thames Crossing project at a location east of Gravesend and Tilbury.
The Highways England proposed route would connect the
A2/M2 in Kent with the M25 north of the river at a new junction between
Junctions 29 and 30 (A127 and A13). The proposed route would join the M25
between north and south Ockendon close to Ockendon Road in Havering.

Vehicle ban proposed outside Romford Library
Havering Council is currently consulting on a
proposed ban on vehicles using the open space outside Romford Library. Cyclists
will still be able to use the area. Full details of the proposals can
be viewed here and comments should be sent by
email by the deadline of Friday 26 February.

Plans to
improve Harold Wood Station area
Havering Council, in partnership with
Transport for London, has unveiled updated plans to
transform Harold Wood station – as part of a series of major improvements
on the eastern section of the Crossrail route, between Stratford and Shenfield.
Central to the Council’s proposals is
the design and creation of a new plaza at the station’s secondary entrance,
within the car park, and improvements to the pedestrian crossing on Station
Road.
