
Roadworks
Until Friday 15
January, road works will take place outside 355 St Mary’s Lane, Upminster.
Temporary traffic lights will be in use from 7am until 7pm.
Until Friday 15
January, road works will take place at the rail bridge at junction
of Rainham Road and Upper Rainham Road, Hornchurch. Temporary traffic
lights will be in use between 9.30am and 3pm.
On Friday 15
January, road works will take place outside Nissan Dealers, London Road,
Romford. Temporary traffic lights will be in use from 9.30am until 3.30pm.
From Tuesday 19
January until Wednesday 20 January, road works will take place on Front
Lane, Cranham at the junction with
Moor Lane. Temporary traffic lights will be in use between 9.30am
and 3.30pm.
On Monday 18
January until Monday 01 February
road works will take place on Exchange Street, Romford. One
lane will be closed and temporary traffic lights will be in use.
Until Wednesday
27 January, road works will take place at the access road to Lillyputts
Farm, Wingletye Lane, Hornchurch. Temporary traffic lights will be in use.
Until Friday 26
February, road works to provide bus stops will take place at seven
locations on Ockendon Road, Upminster. Temporary traffic lights
will be in use between 9.30am and 3pm.
A127 lane and footway closures
From Monday 11 January
until the end of March one
eastbound lane will be closed as part of the Ardleigh Green Bridge replacement.
The footway and verge within the traffic island at the
junction of the A127 and Bryant Avenue will also be closed during the same period.

Driving in snow and ice
The Highway Code states:
Rule 229
Before you set off
- you MUST
be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows
- you MUST
ensure that lights are clean and number plates are clearly visible and
legible
- make sure the mirrors are clear and the windows are
demisted thoroughly
- remove all snow that might fall off into the path of
other road users
- check your planned route is clear of delays and that no
further snowfalls or severe weather are predicted.

Pay as you go extended
to London Gatwick airport
From Monday 11 January, passengers are able to use pay as
you go with an Oyster or contactless card for journeys between London and
Gatwick Airport on Southern, Gatwick Express and Thameslink services. Five
other stations along the route - Horley, Salfords, Earlswood, Redhill and
Merstham – will also benefit from the pay as you go ticket technology.

Bus
station closure
Liverpool
Street bus station will be closed until spring 2016, which will affect passengers
who travel on routes 11, 23, 133, N11 and N133. Leaflets,
including walking maps to the alternative bus stops and route finders are
available to customers at the bus station and customer information centre in
the days leading up to its closure.
All registered Oyster card
holders who regularly use the routes to and from the bus station will also
receive emails about the closure with advice on how to plan their journeys
