Harold Wood residents and business people are encouraged to comment on the budget proposals before the deadline of Thursday 17 December 2015.

We have launched our budget consultation after proposals to save £24 million over the next three years were passed by Cabinet

calculator and coins

The proposals outline how we aim to make the savings by generating income through the introduction of a housing company and investing in renewable energy; by managing demand through encouraging residents to engage with us online and limiting the amount of waste left out for collection.

Light up your home

Harold Wood Police Safer Neighbourhoods Team (SNT) is reminding residents to use timers on lights and radios to make homes look lived in now that the nights are drawing in.

The peak time for burglaries is between 4pm and 8pm during the winter months. Lights and radios can deter criminals from breaking in as they prefer empty houses.
