
Eastern Bazaar comes to Romford
From Wednesday 29 July you can experience a Eastern
Bazaar in Romford Market every market day for the next two weeks.
The Bazaar will be at the Tollgate House end of
the Market Place, with stalls selling handmade leather and wicker bags,
handmade leather and berber cloth bags, handmade paintings on leather skins,
hand-knitted dresses and kaftans, hand-knitted beddings, sofas and cushion
linens, belly dance costumes and a range of olives, Turkish delight and Turkish
pastries.

Come for lunch at the market
There’s plenty of tasty food on offer in Romford Market with a range of
cuisine from around the world.
So if you’re feeling peckish on a Wednesday, Friday or Saturday come
along to the market for an enjoyable lunch or snack and look out for some great bargains.

Mark it in the
Market
Havering Police Safer Transport Team security
code cycles free of charge in Romford Market each month.
The next session will be on Saturday 1
August, between 11.00am and 2.00pm at the South Street end of the market place
near Cycles UK. Everyone who gets their bike marked will
receive a free puncture repair kit.
Just turn up with your bike so it can be security marked and stickers attached to warn would be
thieves that they should leave this cycle alone. Details are added to the Bike Register.

The historical Romford
Market began nearly 800 years ago, in 1247, and trades every Wednesday
and Friday from 9am until 4.30pm and every Saturday from 9am until 5pm.
New traders
Among the new traders that are at Romford Market are: Olivier's Bakery, stall selling artisan breads on Saturdays.
The Hungry Dawg stall sells American style food
AbracaDeborah selling arts and crafts items.
and Ken Bayer who sells gothic craft and gift items.

Want to be a Market Trader?
Romford Market currently has some spaces for new traders. Preference
will be given to those wanting to trade on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays
but there is also limited space available for casual traders wanting to operate on
one day only.

Going electric
If you want to find out more about electric vehicles head
for Romford Market on Saturday 8 August.
A Nissan
NV200 van (pictured) and Leaf
car will be outside Lloyds Bank, along with representatives from Nissan who
can explain the benefits of electric vehicles and answer questions about their
cost and performance.
