District Line Update

On Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 May, there will be no service on the District Line between Aldgate East and Bromley-by-Bow. This is to allow for drainage replacement and Crossrail work at Whitechapel and station improvement work at Stepney Green.

Replacement buses will operate.

Platform work to start at Romford Station

Crossrail is coming and to make sure the longer trains can stop at Romford work starts In June to extend the western end of the platforms so they will be over the River Rom.

The work is due to finish in May 2016 and will involve closure of some footpaths in the station area.

A13 lane closures

During the next week, as part of work being done by the Highways Agency,  there will be lane closures on the A13, near the junction with the M25.

Diversions will be in place.

Roadworks

Until Friday 8 May, Ockendon Road, Upminster, will be closed between Pikes Lane and Upminster Cemetery exit.

From Friday 8 May until Tuesday 12 May, road works will take place at Junction Road, Romford, between Eastern Road and Kingston Road. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Until Sunday 10 May there will be overnight lane closures on the A12 at Gallows Corner, Romford, while work takes place on the new KFC premises. The work will take place between 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday and 8pm until 10am Friday to Sunday.

Until Monday 11 May, road works will take place in Cromer Road, Hornchurch, between Billet Lane and Osbourne Road.  Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Until Tuesday 12 May road works will take place in Ferry Lane, Rainham. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

From Tuesday 12 May until Thursday 14 May road works will take place near Tudor Cottage and Woodlands, Clay Tye Road, Upminster, between 8.30am and 4pm. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

From Tuesday 12 May until Tuesday 19 May road works will take place outside 215 Lodge Lane, Collier Row, between 8am and 4pm. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Until Monday 18 May road works will take place outside 227 Crow Lane, Romford. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Until Monday 18 May road works will take place in Thurloe Gardens, Romford between Victoria Road and George Street. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Until Friday 22 May road works will take place in Mercury Gardens, Romford between Victoria Road and Eastern Road. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Until Friday 29 May road works will take place in Seymer Road, Romford between North Street and McIntosh Road. Temporary traffic lights will be in operation.

Road works have closed The Avenue, Romford at its junction with North Street. Diversions are in place.

Advance notice that junction improvement work will begin in May at the junction of Straight Road, Harold Hill with Broxhill Road, Lower Bedfords Road and Noak Hill Road.

Until 2017 work by Transport for London (TfL) to replace the bridge which takes the A127 over the railway at Ardleigh Green is taking place. During this work there will be a 30mph speed limit in place and some off-peak lane closures (10am until 3pm and 10pm until 5am).

The following roads are scheduled for resurfacing work by Havering Council. The timetable may change for operational reasons, including weather conditions.

Rosebank Avenue, Hornchurch, Thursday 7 May until Sunday 10 May. Stop/Go signals will be in use.

Aldingham Gardens, Elm Park, Saturday 9 May and Sunday 10 May. The road will be closed while the work takes place.

Gainsborough Road, Hornchurch, on Sunday 10 May. Stop/Go signals will be in use.

Mendip Road, Hornchurch, Sunday 10 May and Monday 11 May. Stop/Go signals will be in use.

Cheviot Road, Hornchurch, Monday 11 May. Stop/Go signals will be in use.

Crow Lane, Romford, Monday 11 May and Tuesday 12 May. Stop/Go signals will be in use.

Burnham Road, Romford, on Tuesday 12 May. The road will be closed while the work takes place.

Cedar Road, Romford, Tuesday 12 May and Wednesday 13 May. Stop/Go signals will be in use.

Rosemary Avenue, Romford, Wednesday 13 May and Thursday 14 May. Stop/Go signals will be in use.

Heather Way, Gidea Park, Thursday 14 May and Friday 15 May. Stop/Go signals will be in use.
