Road closure for new surfaces

We are now ready to start working on new paving and road surfaces in the northern section of Princes Circus. You can find out more about the upcoming road closure in the letter we sent to all residents, businesses and stakeholders.

Princes Circus work continues

The next stage of work to create a beautiful new public space in Princes Circus is to remove the old road surface between West Central Street and Grape Street and replace it with new materials. Paving stones and road materials have now arrived on site ready for installation.

To maintain access for businesses and residents we will be working on the road in two halves so that access will always be available.

Areas of the road will be closed between the 3rd October and the 11th November. You can find out more on this closures in the letter we sent to nearby residents and businesses.

West End Project 12 month review

As promised in the original consultation for the West End Project in 2015, we have now completed a 12 month review of the West End Project following the completion of the major traffic changes.

Information on this review including a summary report is available on our website.

Have your say - Gordon Square

Changes to Gordon Square outside the UCL IOA are being proposed. These are not part of the West End Project. The proposals include closing the road to all traffic except cycles and adding seating and planting for people to enjoy.

You can have your say in the consultation now open until the 4th October.
