Alfred Place update

Work is underway on Alfred Place to transform the area into a park. A number of lamp columns have been installed and we shortly expect to start installing the first parts of the new seating and park furniture.

You can view the programme via our website. We expect to have completed the park in mid November 2021. Updates on progress will continue to be shared.

Princes Circus update

Our specialist contractors London Stone Conservation have completed the removal of the fountain and some initial restoration work has taken place including a gentle clean and repair work to mend broken steps and cracked edges. The fountain will be reinstalled as part of the new public space in Princes Circus.

Unfortunately, our initial tender process for Princes Circus did not lead to an acceptable bid. We have now revised our tender and hope to appoint a contractor for Princes Circus later this year. Once a contractor is appointed we will share a predicted programme with all local residents and stakeholders.

Trial holes and other investigations have already taken place across the site.
