Work to stop on Gower Street and Princes Circus

Due to the impacts of Coronavirus Eurovia will be shutting down the main West End Project sites this week.

Work on our enclosed site in Whitfield Gardens by Idverde will continue but is under review.

Shutting down safely

This week our contractors Eurovia will be making the site safe before they stop work. All trial hole sites on Gower Street will be backfilled and made safe by the end of Saturday.

All resurfacing planned to start next week has been cancelled.

The deep drainage works are being paused on New Oxford Street. Here the team will reinstate the tarmac and aim to have this completed by the end of today.

At Princes Circus, barriers will remain around any site which cannot be closed including areas being worked on by the Shaftesbury Theatre development.

The closed areas will be monitored by a small team on site and the 24 hour contact number will continue to be operational should you need to get in touch.

This pause will have an effect on the ongoing programme but as the length of the site shut down is not yet known we will update you again as the full impact becomes clear. We will also be in touch again in advance of us restarting.
