Resurfacing

We will start our resurfacing on Monday 24th February and plan to have these works completed by the end of Sunday 26th April

Resurfacing Gower Street/Bloomsbury Street

• 24th February – 8th March,
• 23rd March – 29th March,
• 6th April – 9th April

Resurfacing High Holborn/Shaftesbury Avenue

• 14th April  – 26th April

Resurfacing New Oxford Street

• 20th March – 5th April

Overnight work and noise 

To complete this work as quickly and efficiently as possible we will be working overnight.

To minimise this unavoidable disruption we will complete the noisiest work before 10pm. However, there will still be work taking place and vehicle movements during the night so noise and disruption should be expected.

This resurfacing will require noisy work to break up the road surface and involve large machinery moving around the area to lay the new road surface.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this will cause.

Impacts

We are working in sections along these road to minimise the disruption. 

Road closures, pedestrian diversions and pedestrian crossing closures will all be needed to facilitate this work. 

During this time there will be no vehicle access 24 hours a day to the closed sections of Gower Street/Bloomsbury Street and part closures and diversions in place for the work around Princes Circus.

If you are within a closed area please leave rubbish on the nearest side street for collection.
