Tottenham Court Road's trees get a makeover

September 2019

Tottenham Court Road Trees

New smart surface for trees

All the trees on Tottenham Court Road now have a smart new surface which protects their roots and allows water to seep through.

The new material has been laid on both the newly planted trees and the existing trees.

Missing paving

Why is there pavement missing on Tottenham Court Road?

You may have noticed that there is missing pavement on Tottenham Court Road. These are spaces awaiting the newly restored Grade II listed lamp posts. We have also left gaps in the pavement on Gower Street which is where the new lamp posts will be installed.

New temporary seats in place

We have added new concrete seats on Tottenham Court Road ahead of more permanent seating. These concrete structures give places to rest from a busy day of shopping.

Look both ways
Illegal parking

No parking

We have had problems in and around Princes Circus with cars and vans parking in among our traffic management cones and signs. This is not allowed and is dangerous as it often blocks the signs from other road users. Please remember to park appropriately and check your delivery vans are doing the same.

Also remember that all loading on Tottenham Court Road should be taking place in the designated loading bays not on the pavement.
