Resurfacing of Tottenham Court Road to start in March
From the 18th March we will start the resurfacing of Tottenham Court Road in preparation for the change to two way.
We are working in sections along the road to minimise the disruption. Road closures, overnight working, bus stop suspensions and pedestrian crossing closures will all be needed to facilitate this work.

Resurfacing
Between the 18th March and the 11th April we will be resurfacing Tottenham Court Road. We will work in sections to take up the existing road surface and lay a new surface with raised areas, designed to slow traffic down.
Letters to all businesses and residents are being delivered this week.
Overnight Working
One of the nosiest parts of this work involves digging to prepare the road for resurfacing. To minimise this we will be undertaking this noisy work before 10pm.
We will then be working 24 hours a day Monday to Friday from the 18th March and on Saturdays until midnight. There will be no work on Sundays.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this work will cause. We will be working as
quietly and efficiently as possible to ensure that noise is kept to a minimum throughout.

 Impacts
Each section will take 2 days to resurface. During this time we will need to put in place road closures to side streets and there will be no stopping on either side of the road (so no deliveries, loading or parking).
Also needed to carry out the works will be closures to bus stops and pedestrian crossings. Only one crossing and one bus stop will be suspended at any time.
