Overnight works outside Goodge Street station

November 2018

Goodge Street Works

Overnight work taking place outside Goodge Street station

Between Monday 12th November and Thursday 15th November we will be working overnight outside Goodge Street Station.

Unfortunately the station is unable to close during the day due to the disruption this would cause to the underground system. We also cannot restrict access in and out of the station while it is open for safety reasons so some night time work is unavoidable.

Planned work

Between the 12th and 15th November we will be working between 10pm and 5am each day.

This will include lifting the existing paving, digging a new foundation and laying new
paving.

Disruption

One of the nosiest parts of this work is cutting the stones, to minimise this we will be preparing and pre-cutting as many stones as possible in advance during the day.

We will also be using acoustic barriers around the site to minimise the noise from our works.

We apologise for the inconvenience that this work will cause. We will be working as
quietly and efficiently as possible to ensure that noise is kept to a minimum throughout.
