We've got two important updates for businesses in Lambeth, on grants for Tier 4 and the current national lockdown, and testing.
Business Grants Update
The council is in the process of paying out the new Government grants for Tier 4 and the third national lockdown.
Any businesses which have already been approved for a LRSG (Closed) grant for the November lockdown will not need to reapply. We are processing these as quickly as possible, and businesses should receive grant payments by 5th February 2021.
Funds will be sent to business bank accounts which received the November lockdown grant and an email will be sent to those receiving grants to advise on how much you will receive, and how this relates to the different Tiers and Government grant schemes.
For example, a restaurant (Hospitality) with a rateable value of between £15,000 and £51,000 would receive the following as one lump-sum payment:

The Covid-19 situation in Lambeth
The Covid-19 cases remain high, and unfortunately we are seeing more people being admitted to hospital and more deaths. We must ensure we play our part to save lives and reduce the strain on our NHS. The roll out of the national Covid-19 vaccination programme is positive, and people in the priority groups have started receiving the vaccine. However, at this this stage, it is important that everyone, even those who have had the vaccine, continue to follow the advice of Hands – wash hands regularly, Face - wear face covering, Space - keeping 2 metres apart, Ventilation – allowing fresh air in the spaces we spend time in.

Regular testing for frontline staff and people who cannot work from home
Regular, rapid Covid-19 testing for people without Covid-19 symptoms is now available to people who live or work in Lambeth. If you have to leave home to do your work, you can now get free and regular coronavirus tests.
Around 1 in 3 people who have Covid-19 show no symptoms but can still pass it on. The weekly coronavirus tests, which are available to those who have to leave home to work is quick, with results being provided within 40 minutes of having the test. This service is available to workers who live or work in Lambeth, Testing is one of the things we can do towards stopping the spread of the virus.
