Lunham Road Site Launch

Lunham Road

The former housing office at Lunham Road has been brought back to life. Following extensive refurbishment, the premises will now be used as an all- purpose youth facility.

The Rathbone Society are an established youth provider in Norwood and have been appointed to manage the site. The Gypsy Hill ward currently has no youth facility and the Lunham Road site has been welcomed by all sections of the community including the local MP Helen Hayes.

Rathbone will provide a range of services for younger people including cookery classes and lifestyle mentoring programmes. The building is located close to the Central Hill Estate and there will be an opportunity for residents to book a meeting room subject to availability.

Please contact Charline King for full details at C.King@rathbonesociety.org.uk

The Caldwell Gardens Art Club

Caldwell Art Classes

Run by Cat, Georgina and Marc is an extension of an ongoing sign making project with residents of Caldwell Gardens Estate, promoting our new communal food waste collection scheme which is now on hold because of Covid-19

Currently the club is running more general art classes aimed at children, via Zoom. Many children and parents have joined the club across Lambeth, the Oval, Streatham and Larkhall to name a few. Thanks to the support and funding from Lambeth, we've been able to provide art packs for each participating family.

If you are interested in participating please contact Georgina at gksch@hotmail.com
