 Our first ever online session for TRAs will start on Monday 27 April from 6pm. This one is for treasurers and other interested committee members. It is anticipated the session will last 40 minutes and will cover things such as:
- Starting the year - doing a budget.
- What information we need to collect along the way and how to keep it day to day.
- Authorisation of expenditure and limits of spend.
- Signatories and bank accounts.
- Good practice day to day; handling cash/ banking and problems that come up.
- What information does your committee need and how often.
- Preparing for end of year.
All TRA Treasurers will receive a zoom invite on Friday 24 April. It is very straight forward to use:
- Download the zoom app before Friday. If you have a mac you need to download this instead apple/zoom
- On the 27th, just click on the link sent in the email from Doreen Mason inviting you to join the meeting
If any other TRA member wishes to join this session just email Doreen Mason on dmason@lambeth.gov.uk before Friday and she will ensure you receive an invite. You will need to download the app but just use links above.
Other sessions being looked at include governance and roles of committee officers, planning events, facilities management and funding. It may well be that once TRAs see how easy it is to meet online they may wish to do it during the winter months or ensure someone house bound is able to join in. So even if you are just interested in seeing how online meetings work please join us.
