In the past 8 months 104 residents have completed our accredited courses. The next round of courses have just been announced.
Lambeth and Hightrees Community Development Trust are teaming up again to offer the Award in Education and Training Level 3 (Accredited) & a new CIH Level 3 Award in Housing Practice.
Enrolment days will be on December 18 then between 6-10 of January. Any interested candidates please call 020 8671 3132 or email the team.

A collaboration including the ENGIE community team of Alan Beech and Richard Sanz, our own John O’Reilly and Pinnacle Group worked together to clear the outdoor green space next to Deronda community hall.

Pinnacle provided staff, tools and their rubbish clearance vehicle. The results were transformative as the team created a new green space for the residents to enjoy their community space once again.

The November Area Board meetings looked at reports on voids, estate action plans and walkabouts. As a result it was agreed to review estate walkabouts through the second residents Task & Finish Group (TFG). Any resident interested in joining the TFG will need to have completed the scrutiny course we run at High Trees but email gettinginvolved@lambeth.gov.uk if interested in joining the TFG.

In January we’ll be able to offer a DIY course for families experiencing overcrowding. It promises to be good opportunity to learn new skills to make those creative changes in the home and meet new people along the way. A Crèche will also be provided.
The course is for 8 weeks every Monday starting on Monday 13 January 2020 (one week break for half term).
